Fitbitch has helped me regain my pre-menopause shape
Having been fit, slim and active most of my adult life, moving into menopausal middle age was a bit of a rude awakening. Diets had never worked and weird eating plans were impossible to stick to with a demanding, stressful job and lack of sleep. I needed a radical reboot.
So, I decided, with some trepidation, to join Rachael’s FitBitch Bootcamp. That was about three years ago and I haven’t looked back.
I love it!
- Exercising outdoors, whatever the weather, is energising.
- The variety of exercise – you never know what you’re going to be doing until the session arrives – but it will stretch you and you won’t be in your comfort zone, which is what I needed.
- The camaraderie of the group is amazing – I have made new friends with like-minded women. We have a great laugh and support each other not only through our bootcamps, but also illness, family and work issues or general middle age-related shenanigans.
- And finally, Rachael, our bootcamp leader is an inspiration. She pushes and cajoles us to do our best, she knows how to tailor each session to allow for any physical problems (like a pulled ligament or bad back) but still knows how to push you just to your limit.
My shape has changed – I’m fitter and stronger. Plus, it helps my mental stamina too. I’m addicted and will keep on going until I can’t anymore!

FitBitch changed my life, not just my figure
I’d been overweight and unhappy for years when I joined FitBitch. I didn’t know what to expect but I had no idea how much it would transform my life.
It was tough at first but within two weeks I noticed changes, and by the end of four weeks, I’d lost 13lbs.The encouragement from Rachael, via Twitter and in person, and the camaraderie with the other women in the camps makes anything possible.
I’ve since continued with FitBtich and have lost three and a half stone, and my BMI has gone from obese to normal.
FitBitch has changed more than just my figure and fitness but my confidence in all areas of life. And from not being able to run for a bus, I’ve now completed three half marathons with the running club.
It is worth every penny, drop of sweat and aching muscle.

I’ve discovered the solution to a slimmer, happier me with FitBitch
You name it, I’ve tried it, calorie counting, the Cabbage Soup diet, the Norweigan diet, gyms, the lot. Nothing worked until I discovered Fitbitch Boot Camp.
The training is tough but fun, and the trainers inspire you to believe you can do it, and who would believe it? I could! You also get 24 hour diet support via Twitter and the FitBitch healthy recipes have taught me that it is possible to actually eat more, enjoy food and still lose 12lbs in one camp. After almost forty years of searching, I’ve discovered a solution to a happier, healthier slimmer me in four weeks.

Who knew exercise could be so much fun and still create such life altering changes
Five years ago I was an overweight, drinking, smoking party girl who thought exercise was for people with nothing better to do. I didn’t even own a pair of trainers and used to drive my kids to school three roads away.
Who knew exercise could be so much fun? We do everything from boxing and kettlebells, to playground sessions using zip wires. And you even get fun photos on Twitter which really help spur you on.
When you join FitBitch, you become part a community of like minded women, and get trainers who really care about you. They give you exercises specific to you body and fitness level, not the group.
I’ve lost over two stone and FitBitch has given me the confidence to do away with old defintions of who I thought I was. It’s made me realise I can do anything.

Fitbitch really works and it’s so much fun
I joined Fitbitch because I wanted to get in shape for the summer beach volleyball season. It was so much fun, my fitness levels soared and I dropped two dress sizes.
Every session was so inventive and fun. Think adult SpaceHoppers, children’s playgrounds and giant physical board games, there was always something to distract you from the hard work.
Getting up at sunrise meant that I had more ‘me’ time before I even had to think about work. I’ve never tried anything that’s worked so well and is this much fun.

Fitbitch is a complete lifestyle overhaul
Fitbitch has been a challenging experience but it’s shown me that hard work really pays off. It’s all too easy not to push yourself in a big group class but the intensive sessions and personal attention you get on a Fitbitch camp really ups the impact – and the results. I’ve lost 5 pounds in my first camp, despite going away on holiday for a week in the middle.
I’ve done a lot of yoga and swimming and some zumba, but Fitbitch is as much a life style overhaul as a fitness class. It really leaves you no place to hide – from yourself or the trainer! If you go out scoffing pizza and caning the beers, you’re going to know all about it at 6.00 am when you’re trying to run up a beach in the rain. If you don’t go out stuffing pizza and caning the beers, running up a beach in the rain can be surprisingly enjoyable. Because the courses are so intensive and stimulating, you quickly feel the benefits and as your stamina and strength grow, your confidence, drive and determination do too. I loved it.

Fitbitch is the best exercise choice I’ve ever made
Training outside in all weathers has been a revelation. It is so much more motivational, even when the weather is not sunny. In the past, I’ve taken part in the full array of exercise options; aerobic classes, gym memberships and 1:1 personal training and never managed more than 8 weeks before I’ve become bored or frustrated with familiarity of the format.
This September will be my 1st year anniversary of doing Fitbitch and I’ve never once had twitchy feet from boredom – twitchy muscles from squats and lunges are a different matter! I love it, it’s the best exercise choice I’ve ever made.

I enjoy the gentle supportive competition
In the past, I’ve paid for lots of personal training which has often meant paying narcissists to stare at themselves in the mirror while I struggle. Doing Fitbitch with their small group formats are great because the focus isnt 100% on you, but its OK to speak up with a question and not hold up everyone. It’s also good to see that everyone has some strengths and weaknesses and there is a little bit of gentle supportive competition.

Nothing compares to Fitbitch
I’ve never really contemplated regular exercise but as I’ve got older, I’ve realised how important it is to keep active. I’ve tried plenty of different classes to try and keep myself interested but nothing has compared to FitBitch. I’ve found myself craving exercise and enjoying the feeling of accomplishment. For the first time in my life I can actually say I’m proud the exercise I’ve done. I’ve booked my next camp and I cant wait to start it. I love it!
